Year 6 Spark Arena Arts Trip🥀

Year 6 Spark Arena Arts Trip🥀

Have you ever been to a place where you get to try instruments?

Asalaam Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to blog about the Year 6 Spark Arena trip. We left for the trip at 9:00am. We were lucky and grateful that the trip was for free for us. When we got there we got welcomed by Suzy Cato. She welcomed us and introduced us to a man who's name was Brendon Hines. There were 3 places we got to explore on this trip. The 3 places were Van Gogh, Happy Place, and the Sounds Fun place. We noticed that we were not the only school there. There were 2 more schools but only Year 6's. The 2 schools that were there were Royal Road and Linkyn Heights. The first place we got to explore was the exciting Happy Place.

Happy Place! was where we got to take photos and jump in a deep ball pit and kind of get stuck. We had to go in 4's and jump in when the man says 3, 2, 1 go. I couldn't believe that even the teachers went in. My teacher dived in and was finding it pretty hard to get out. There also was this cookie that had choc chip windows and you had to open them. Also there was a room where it had a bedroom on the ceiling and when you took a photo the bed was on the ground and your were on the ceiling. We also went into the dome that had confetti in it and it also came on me🎊.

Sounds Fun is a hands on exhibition with musical instruments🥁. We went there next. It was a fun time over there. We had a time where we could play the trumpet and make our own songs and sing. 2 people were singing a teachers name (Miss Daly) because she refused to sing😂. There was an opportunity to play a keyboard but wearing headphones🎧. It was crowded with so many posters of different singers in there. It was like a disco🎞. Me and my friend Ayana were getting very hungry. So we ate our snack😋.

Van Gogh was a place where it had art sculptures🎨. We had to sit down and look at all the different paintings and different sound effects. It was very cool seeing all these art's being presented on a projector. We had to sit down for a very long time. After that we went in a room that had yellow bright sunflowers all around🌻. We then had to sadly leave but we got snack's in a brown bag. The vegetarian people got seperate bags but with only a different sandwich. We had time to eat then went back to school.

Here are some photos and videos of the Happy Place

  1. Wow Amara - this whole event sounds like an amazing experience. You have written a thorough and comprehensive account of what you did on the trip, ka pai. Could you actually choose which was your favourite part of the day, or was it all equally impressive? I think I would have enjoyed the visual aspects, but the musical experience would probably have been my favourite. Have you come back inspired to be an artist of some kind? Perhaps, you could use some of the instruments at school to compose your own piece of music? Thanks for sharing your learning with us.
