Asalaam Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to blog about Matariki lanterns. For Matariki we made lanterns. We made them out of coloured paper. The colours were blue, green, and pink for the outside. Orange and yellow for the inside. The people who weren't here had to do them the next day. Here are some instructions on how to make Matariki lanterns.
First you fold the paper in half. Then you measure a 4 cm line. After that you fold the 4cm line. Then you get the inside piece of paper and need to measure a 2cm line. Then you need to rule the 2cm line down to the bottom. Next you get some scissors and cut on the 2 cm lines. When your done cutting your lines you wrap it around the inside. Then your finished.
Hi Amara, Wow your lantern looks so cool! For Matariki my class did a presentation about one of the matariki stars, mine was Matariki the mother. We also had to draw something similar to the star we chose. I also like how you explained how to make a matariki lantern.
