The most hard day in Te Waka Ako!

The most hard day in Te Waka Ako

Have you ever had to stay outside class until 9:00am?

Asalaam Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to blog about the weird wires. So basically Icame to school and all the blinds were down and the doors were covered in black cloth. The teachers sneakily left some blinds a little tiny bit open so we could see what was inside. All the teachers in Te Waka Ako were wearing black and had 3 strips one each colour on there faces. The colurs the had were red, black, and green. Some people thought that we were playing amongus. The teachers let us in at 9:00am and they told us that we were going to be pretending being soldiers under the trench. We had to do our work based on ANZAC. We started of with maths, then writing, and then reading. It was hard because the teachers told us we had to stay crawling on our knees for the day. We couldn't even put our heads over the wires. The teachers put on sound effects to test how much work we could do while being distracted. Also for the guns they had nerf guns. If we put our head up we get shooted with them. It was fun. Here are some photos and a video of the day.

Here is my drawing and letter

Jonty and Choc 🕮

Jonty and Choc 🕮

Asalaam Alaikum everybody. Today I am going to blog about the book Jonty and Choc. They are trouble makers. We read this book and finished it and then we did a personal response on it. It was a cool story and the author was Vince Ford and there was some funny parts. One funny part was when Choc got a pipe and put some pee in it and Choc put the pipe on Jonty's head and all the pee landed on his head. But one day when they move from Primary to Intermediate Jonty and Choc break up and Jonty finds a new friend Kevin. This is what it is about. Here is my personal response link. We also did the missing words about the book. Here is the link to it.

Sea Week🌊

Sea Week🌊

Asalaam Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to blog about sea week. During our reading sessions we had a slideshow called sea week. We had different activies related to marine reserves and sea life. After some weeks we finished our articles and stories. At the end of the slideshow when you were done all the slides you had to then create either write a letter to the goverment about what you have learned about marine reserves, or make and inphographic, or make a map showig the different types of marine reserves. I chose to write a letter to the goverment. An intersting fact is that there are 44 marine reserves in NZ. In our letter we had to tell was what they should do to keep marine reserves safe. Here is my slideshow.
