Having a special Olympics day!๐ŸŽŒ

Having a special Olympics day!๐ŸŽŒ

Asalaam Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to be blogging about having a special Olympics day. So the teachers in the senior syndicate thought we should have an Olympic day since we have been learning about the Olympics in reading. We all were put into teams of four or five. All of us had different countries that were in the Olympics. My team had the country Morocco. Each team had to have a flag bearer. I was the flag bearer of my team. The flag bearers just needed to hold the flag when they go to each game. We also had a clipboard. Each team had to rotate around 9 different games. The 9 games were stack the cans, Rubber chicken, target throw, Ballon badminton, Gumboot throw, Egg race, Frog jumping, We stick together and human quites. In the end, we had to give in our clipboards and the teachers had to count and add our numbers altogether. We finally got our results back and my team came fourth. I was still happy for Jamaica because they were in first place with 64 points. In second place was Turkey. In third place was Cuba.

Creating Olympic DLO๐Ÿ’ป

Olympic Ancient from then and now๐Ÿ’ป

Asalaam Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to be blogging about my reading DLO. DLO stands for digital learning object. We were working on the Olmypics for the past few weeks. We had to focus on one question about Olympics and find information about it. My focus question was 'How have the Ancient Olympics changed to the modern?' After we had collected all the information we had to make a DLO. I used Book Creator to show my learning. Book Creator is where you can make books of any kind. My favourite part was when we could choose what kind of DLO instead of the teachers telling us what kind of type we had to do. We were learning about summarising and synthesising. We also had a success criteria that we had to follow. Please comment on my blog and tell me what I will need to work on next time.

Here are some photos of my Book Creator I have started but it is not finished yet.

Going to Molley Green๐Ÿ€

Going to Molley Green๐Ÿ€

Asalaam Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to be blogging about Molley Green. On Friday 30th July a small group of students went to Molley Green to move some mulch (bark). The reason why we had to go is because the council had to put it near the bridge because the truck couldn't go in. It was very very muddy and all our shoes got heaps of mud on it. We had to get spades and wheelbarrows. Also it was very strange but we took a wheelbarrow with us and put all our lucnh boxes and drink bottles in it. It was hard work and it was also sunny. Some people had to take some gardening pots and put some of the mulch around the small trees that were growing. We got half of the mulch to the other side were it was safe. At the end we were lucky enough to get a little play on the playground. We were there to build a coommunity fruit forest. Hopefully in a couple of year we will be eating lots of fruit that we helped to plant. Please comment on my blog and tell me what I need to work on.

What I have learned about the Olympics ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅˆ๐Ÿฅ‰

What I have learned about the Olympics๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅˆ๐Ÿฅ‰

Asalaam Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to blog about what I have learned about the olympics. This past two weeks Te Waka Ako (syndicate)  were learning about the Olympics. We watched the games everyday at the time of the racing. We had to do a slideshow based on some badges and then choose one of them that we don't know about and find information about it.  I learned and chose  Equestrian (Horse riding). It was fun doing the slideshow. There are three values of olympics. The values are respect, friendship, and excellence. Thank you for reading my blog post for today. Please comment on my work and tell me what I need to work on.
